Queen's School of English

The Certificate of Academic Distinction is granted to Queen's School of English students who obtain a mark of 85% or higher in all of their course studies.

This 6–week intensive English language program builds the foundational knowledge, skills, and strategies for academic success while introducing learning strategies common in Canadian post-secondary education, such as critical thinking and task-based learning, while following standards of academic integrity.

This 3-week English immersion program focuses on developing language skills using Canadian academic content. It emphasizes the knowledge, skills and strategies needed for academic success.

This 3-week intermediate English-language immersion program is for students pursuing English academic success. The CASES program integrates Canadian academic content and the UN’s SDGs, building connections between English language skills and the wider world.

This 4-week English immersion program is for students who want to immerse themselves in Canadian culture while learning English. Classes focus on Canadian cultural content and practical application of English language skills.

Students who participate in the Conversation Partner Program are paired with a Queen's University student for in-depth 1-on-1 discussions in English that promote fluency and develop intercultural understanding.

This 12–week intensive English language program develops knowledge, skills, and strategies for academic success. It is offered three times per year in fall, winter, and summer.

This badge is issued to students who have completed the English for Beginners at QSoE course.

A customized program geared towards intermediate English language learners focused on mining in Canada and English language development, students will work on refining and honing their understanding of their vocabulary and grammatical structures while learning about mining and Canada.

This 3­-week English immersion program is ideal for those who want to learn English while exploring campus and research facilities that are moving the university forward in pursuit of our targets related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This program is offered once per year during the summer.
